This New Moon is part of the last hit of the Saturn/Uranus square, we’ve been experiencing on and off for several years. We are being given the facility to start looking inside ourselves to feel into this important square, which has been showing us a tear in the scenery of our lives: the conflicts which arise between the future trajectory with all its innovative New World trajectories (Uranus) and the infrastructures and institutions which hold up the world as we’ve known it for generations. (Saturn).

Mercury, is conjunct Pluto and they square to Eris, a very good time to unearth the deeper and hidden angry and troubled feminine side of consciousness. Venus is conjunct the asteroid Vesta (sacrifices) ; trine Uranus, and square Chiron, which means that a pretty solid healing possibility is available, as the collective awaken to just how oppressed the feminine has been, either through the pervasive misogyny so present in our patriarchal power structures (eg in governments and  institutions), or within more personal spheres within our relationships with each other, from the more intimate ones to the everyday work spaces.

With this New Moon you have the opportunity to start-a-fresh: it is the beginning of the Chinese New Year of the Water Tiger. Also Venus went direct a few days ago and Mercury will go direct today as I write. So if you’ve had anything simmering away on the back burner, now is the time to turn up the heat and get it cooking.
